After the main powerline caught fire, a Galston property got a new private pole, three-phase overhead service, underground mains and 100A main switch.

The main powerline running from the pole to a Galston property caught fire, taking out the connection entirely. Rebuilding a service from the pole down is Level 2 ASP work, so a licensed Level 2 ASP in Sydney was needed to put the whole connection back.
- Installed a new private power pole and three-phase overhead service
- Trenched and ran new underground consumer mains and conduits
- Installed a new 100A three-phase main switch, back-wired fuses, switchboard wiring and earthing
- Backfilled, tested and commissioned the installation
The property is back on a new three-phase connection built from the pole down, tested and commissioned. The neutral meter tail will be completed by the metering technician when the new smart meter is fitted.

Underground-to-Overhead Service Conversion in Gerroa, NSW
A Gerroa property was taken off its temporary pole with a UGOH kit installed up the street pole and the supply moved to the new switchboard.

A Gerroa property was being taken off its temporary power pole and connected directly to the street pole, feeding a newly installed switchboard. Converting an underground cable up a pole to an overhead connection is Level 2 ASP work and has to be carried out by a licensed Level 2 ASP electrician.
- Cut back the conduit below ground level and installed 40mm heavy-duty grey hose over the existing cable
- Installed the UGOH kit and saddles up the pole
- Prepared the cable with heatshrink and made off the IPC connections
- Relocated the existing temporary power supply to the new switchboard location
- Completed additional switchboard and earthing works at the customer's request
The property is now fed by a direct underground-to-overhead connection at the street pole, running into the new switchboard, with the temporary pole arrangement retired. The three-phase meter application is the remaining step.
Three-Phase Overhead Service & Underground Mains in St Ives, NSW
A St Ives property was moved from single to three-phase with a new overhead service, new pole and 15m of underground mains run to the switchboard.

A property in St Ives was moving from a single-phase supply to three-phase, which meant a new overhead service from the street pole and new underground consumer mains run back to the switchboard. Disconnecting the existing supply, establishing a new point of attachment and reconnecting the service is network-side work, so a licensed Level 2 ASP in Sydney was required to carry it out.
- Marked out and cut approximately 15m of trenching through the driveway, jackhammering through solid rock to reach the required 300mm depth
- Core drilled and installed a new pole, then ran and connected 25mm² 4-core cabling up it
- Ran 25mm² aluminium overhead mains across the road, trimming a large section of tree for clearance
- Ran the cabling beneath the deck and through the slab to the switchboard, installed the new panel and surround, and safely capped off the old shared supply
The property is now running on a new three-phase supply, with the overhead service, new pole and underground mains all connected, tested and commissioned. The old supply was removed and safely capped off, and a new power point was installed at the board.
